History

Raspberry Ranch is located about one mile downstream from Moon Lake on the Lake Fork River and is part of an original homestead established in 1906. Originally spanning 160 acres, the homestead was divided into sixteen ten-acre parcels in 1977 by the then-owner, The Fisher Family Trust. These parcels were distributed among family members, with four remaining under the Trust. In the early 1990s, those four parcels were sold by the Fisher Family Trust.

In 1994, Ron and Karen Neisler, along with LeRoy (Mick) and Jeanne Meyer, purchased the 30 acres that now make up Raspberry Ranch, stretching from Moon Lake Highway to Lake Fork River.

We have numerous ongoing restoration projects. After removing most of the sagebrush that had taken over since logging in the early 20th century, we are reseeding the land with native grasses, Ponderosa pine, and Austrian pine. We are also planting wildflowers, golden currants, and native wild plums to provide additional forage and habitat for wildlife.
